Afomia Gebre graduated from Dalhousie’s College of Pharmacy is 2020 and shortly after completed a hospital residency through the Nova Scotia Health Authority. She is currently working as a hospital pharmacist at the Qikiqtani General Hospital in Iqaluit. Outside of Pharmacy, Afomia is mainly involved in working with and advocating for members of equity seeking groups. Afomia helped start the first Diversity and Equity committee at the College of Pharmacy, travelled to Ghana as a delegate for the African Youth and Convergence Conference (AYGC), was the chair for the health committee and has worked as a mentor and tutor for youth of diverse backgrounds through various organizations.
