Prior to launching his solo consultancy in July of 2021, Sam Lanctin was the Registrar of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists for over 10 years. As the College’s chief executive, Sam was instrumental in developing, adopting, and implementing the Pharmacy Act 2014, which ushered in pharmacy technicians as new health-care professionals and the authority for pharmacists to prescribe independently in the province. Sam was a successful pharmacy franchise owner for 11 years and spent four years as the Manager of Pharmacy Consultant Services with Medavie Blue Cross in Moncton, NB.

Sam obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Université de Moncton, Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University, and earned his ICD.D designation from the Directors Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Sam’s involvement within the profession and in his community has taken many forms. Sam has recently taken up the Habitat for Humanity cause, fully believing the "everybody deserves a decent place to live" motto.

Sam’s favorite activities include traveling, watching Habs games with his daughter Allie, woodworking, playing squash, and poker. Sam recently took up the guitar and fashions himself a wannabe inventor. Sam resides in Dieppe with his wife Janice, daughter Allie, and Mika, the dog.
