Nermen Kassam is the owner/manager of Pharmacy Plus in Calgary, AB, where she proudly serves her community by providing education in chronic disease management, injections, prescribing and a range of other advanced clinical pharmacy services. She is passionate about mentorship and teaching, and acts as a preceptor for students at every stage of their pharmacy journey, including high school students, technicians and assistants, foreign trained pharmacists and students from the University of Alberta.

Mental health and well-being have been a particular focus for Nermen since the early days of her career. She has experience as a Clinical Practitioner at the Calgary General Hospital, where she was part of a multi-disciplinary team providing clinical mental health services to in-patients and served as a resource to psychiatrists, residents, nurses and the pharmacy team. She also has experience in the area of oncology and has held a number of volunteer and board positions at organizations focused on mental health services.

Nermen completed a BSc Pharm at the University of Alberta, a hospital residency at Foothills Hospital and has her APA and CDE certifications. She speaks English, Gujarati, Kutchi, Hindi and Punjabi. In her spare time, Nermen enjoys travelling, gardening, and yoga.
