Continuing Education Session - Optimizing Virtual Care and Electronic Communication Through Digital Tools: 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM

2020 may turn out to be a watershed year for digital technologies in Canada, as physicians and pharmacists across the country pivoted to the use of digital technology and services, out of sheer necessity.  This presentation will look at the evolving landscape of our healthcare systems as they pertain to the acceleration of virtual care in Canada and the importance of e-Prescribing tools to support clinical communications.

Speaker: Bhavesh Modi, RPh, MPharm

Bhavesh Modi is the Director of Pharmacy Relations and Deployment for Canada Health Infoway. He earned his Master of Sciences in Pharmacy in 2013. Since then, he has worked with several organizations on their pharmacy transformation journey by levering technologies and innovation to further advance the pharmacy profession. As a practicing pharmacist, Bhavesh has been able to implement key strategic health initiatives and patient education opportunities, while growing the pharmacy business within the expanded scope of practice. Currently, Bhavesh's primary focus at Infoway is engaging with pharmacy stakeholders and leading the national pharmacy implementation process of PrescribeIT® all across Canada.
