Dr. Nardine Nakhla is an Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, a community pharmacist, and CEO & Co-Founder of MAPflow, a health technology company enabling pharmacy teams to deliver comprehensive clinical services across Canada. Over the past 18 years, she has educated more than 3,300 PharmD students and trained 2,500+ pharmacists, earning multiple teaching awards, including the university’s highest honour, the Distinguished Teacher Award (2023).
Nationally recognized for her expertise in minor ailments and pharmacist-led clinical care, Dr. Nakhla has authored numerous publications, delivered more than 350 invited presentations, and co-authored the regulations granting Ontario pharmacists prescriptive authority for minor ailments. She also received the Pfizer Bowl of Hygeia Award (2020) for outstanding professional and community service. To date, MAPflow has supported care for over 250,000 Canadian patients, with 98% experiencing symptom resolution or significant improvement.
