Mohamed Elsabakhawi is a licensed pharmacist and pharmacy owner based in Mississauga, Ontario. He graduated from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia in 2005 and has since operated seven different Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Mississauga and Etobicoke. He currently manages four high-volume pharmacies and three pharmacist-led clinics, where his teams dispense over 480,000 prescriptions annually.
He is a global leader in point-of-care testing as his pharmacies have pioneered large scale pharmacist-led screening programs in Canada. Over the past 2 years, his pharmacies have conducted point-of-care screening tests for approximately 10,000 patients and his work in pharmacy practice research has also been recently featured at the FIP 2025 World Congress, FIP 2026 World Congress and Diabetes Canada 2025 conference.
Nationally and internationally, Mohamed has shared his expertise as a speaker and panelist at conferences including Pharmacy U, PDW, OPSIS, and the FIP World Congress. He has also guest lectured at the University of Toronto on diabetes management during Ramadan. His work in pharmacy innovation and scalable healthcare delivery has been recognized by Canadian politicians and major media outlets.
